Sentence Transformation: মানে এক, চেহারা আলাদা

এই পাঠের তথ্য উৎস মিলিয়ে লেখা ও প্রথমবার যাচাই করা হয়েছে; কয়েক দিন পর দ্বিতীয়বার যাচাই চলছে। কোথাও ভুল চোখে পড়লে নিচের “ভুল জানান” বাক্সে লিখুন।

“Only Rahim can do it” আর “None but Rahim can do it”: মানে একই, শুধু চেহারা আলাদা। মানে না বদলে বাক্যের গঠন বদলানোই Sentence Transformation। BCS-এ এটা আসে MCQ-তে, ঠিক গঠন বেছে নিতে।

১. Simple ↔ Complex ↔ Compound

ধরন	গঠন	উদাহরণ
Simple	একটা finite verb	Being ill, he could not come.
Complex	মূল clause + অধীন clause	As he was ill, he could not come.
Compound	দুই স্বাধীন clause, and/but/so দিয়ে জোড়া	He was ill, so he could not come.

২. Affirmative ↔ Negative

Affirmative	Negative
Only he can do it.	None but he can do it.
He is always punctual.	He is never late.
As soon as he came, we left.	No sooner had he come than we left.
Everyone loves him.	There is no one who does not love him.

কৌশল: মানুষ হলে Only → None but; বস্তু/সংখ্যা হলে Only → Nothing but / not more than: He has only ten taka → He has not more than ten taka.

৩. Degree বদল

Superlative	Comparative	Positive
Dhaka is the largest city in Bangladesh.	Dhaka is larger than any other city in Bangladesh.	No other city in Bangladesh is as large as Dhaka.

Comparative-এ any other-এর পরে singular noun বসে (any other city, cities নয়)।

৪. Interrogative ↔ Assertive

Who does not love his country? → Everyone loves his country.
Is there any man who can do it? → There is no man who can do it.
প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য negative হলে assertive হয় affirmative, আর affirmative হলে assertive হয় negative।

পরীক্ষার ফাঁদ

“larger than any other cities” লেখা। any other-এর পরে singular: city।
“None but” বস্তুর জন্য লেখা। বস্তুতে Nothing but।
No sooner-এর পরে when লেখা। No sooner…than।
Superlative থেকে Positive-এ “No other”-এর পরে plural লেখা। No other city।
